About this project

This project is an Android job-portal application connecting job seekers with listings: users browse jobs filtered by category, location, and experience level, view full job descriptions, and apply directly by uploading a resume (stored via Firebase Storage) along with a short cover note.

Firebase Firestore stores job listings and applications, with a real-time listener updating the 'My Applications' screen to reflect status changes (Applied, Shortlisted, Rejected) set by the employer side of the system. Firebase Authentication handles separate seeker and employer account types.

Employers get a simple posting form to create new job listings and a dashboard listing applicants per job with a link to view each uploaded resume, giving the project a realistic two-sided marketplace structure within a single Android app.

Detailed Project Description

Job Portal App (Job Search & Apply) gives the user a focused everyday tool with a clean interface, local storage of their data and optional sync or reminders.

How It Works
1. The user enters or records data (amounts, steps, notes, recordings, values).
2. The app validates and stores it locally (SQLite/Room/SharedPreferences) or in the cloud.
3. Lists, totals, charts or conversions are computed and displayed instantly.
4. Reminders/notifications run in the background where the feature applies.
