About this project

In our project, we developed an Android Text to Speech application that leverages speech recognition and text-to-speech (TTS) technologies to create a seamless and interactive user experience. The app will empower users to speak into their devices, convert spoken words into text, process the text, and then output the information through synthesized speech.
Key Features:
Speech Recognition:
Utilize the Android SpeechRecognizer class for capturing spoken input.
Implement asynchronous processing to avoid blocking the main thread.
Provide real-time feedback on recognized speech.
Text Processing:
Process the recognized text, enabling features like language translation or sentiment analysis.
Display the processed information in the app's user interface.
Text-to-Speech (TTS):
Integrate the Android TextToSpeech class for converting processed text into synthesized speech.
Allow users to control TTS playback, including options for adjusting speed and pitch.
User Interface (UI):
Design an intuitive and responsive UI with buttons or voice-triggered controls.
Enable users to initiate speech recognition and TTS functionalities easily.
Error Handling and Optimization:
Implement robust error handling for scenarios like failed speech recognition.
Optimize the app for performance, considering resource usage and responsiveness.
Additional Features:
Support multiple languages for both speech recognition and TTS.
Explore cloud integration for enhanced speech recognition capabilities.
Allow customization of settings such as speech rate and pitch.
Technology in Used :
Android XML : Page layout has been designed in Android XML
Android : This project has been developed over the Android Platform
Java : All the coding has been written in Java
SQLite : inbuilt database
Android Studio : We have used Android Studio for developing the project

Detailed Project Description

Android Text to Speech App Project with Source code gives the user a focused everyday tool with a clean interface, local storage of their data and optional sync or reminders.

How It Works
1. The user enters or records data (amounts, steps, notes, recordings, values).
2. The app validates and stores it locally (SQLite/Room/SharedPreferences) or in the cloud.
3. Lists, totals, charts or conversions are computed and displayed instantly.
4. Reminders/notifications run in the background where the feature applies.

Technology Roles
- BLE
- Java
- Android
- SQLite

Implementation Steps
1. Sketch the screens and the data each screen needs.
2. Create the project in Arduino IDE and set up navigation between screens.
3. Define the local data model (SQLite/Room/SharedPreferences) or cloud sync.
4. Implement the core feature (tracking, conversion, recording, reminders, playback).
5. Add background work / notifications / permissions where required.
6. Test on real devices, handle edge cases and optimise battery and performance.
7. Generate the APK and prepare screenshots and documentation.

Key Features
- Simple, fast UI
- Offline storage
- Summaries and charts
- Notifications / sync where applicable

Expected Output
On completion the student will have an installable app that keeps the user's data organised and accessible.

Deliverables
- Complete source code with comments
- Database schema / data model and screen flow
- Project report with screenshots and results
- Demonstration-ready build
